The Eagle´s Nest – a monument of history
This imposing building with its metre thick walls is a document of Nazi architecture and provides the visitor with a breathtaking view over the Berchtesgaden area. The access road from Obersalzberg to the Eagle´s Nest car park is a masterpiece of engineering. The ride in special buses is an experience and covers a difference in height of 800 metres.
The ascent to the Tea House is via a lavishly brass clad lift in the mountain.
